A conundrum for them: The only fit parents for someone scheduled to be unjustly murdered in a decade would, of course, be people who weren't willing to be complicit in it.

I see they're planning on sidestepping this as much as possible by making her 'grateful' for their abuse because it's 'not as bad' as the other abusers, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
