Just casually assaults people when asked an innocent question, we got a real charmer here. So he really is a delinquent, I thought it was gonna be the misunderstood trope. I also really hate it when others minimize it and when the victim acts apologetic to the person who assaulted them when they should have some self-respect and not tolerate that kind of behavior. It really is such a common and such an irritating trope in manga, a random temporarily antagonistic character is introduced, they are one-sidedly and unapologetically aggressive and inconsiderate to the main character, then the main character just accepts it and is nauseatingly understanding, the antagonist's backstory or reasoning is revealed, none of which vindicates his behavior, they never apologize and it's framed as a shortcoming on the main character's part for not knowing their dark past and not being considerate in the very specific way that would address this past, and then the story moves on and they're now buddy buddy. Anyway, it's really annoying. Rant over.
