Ok, the promise to give up being a pro if he can't win the freaking nationals within one year and barely two or three years of actual tennis experience is already stupid on it's own, but I get it was a way to appease his parents, especially his mother...
But this ? Dude saying there's no way to become a pro if he can't actually win the nationals, because that means he's not worthy of it ? That's grade A bullshit on top of looking down on pretty much every tennis player who spent most of their lives playing tennis without ever winning nationals, like Araya and others. Even Natsu ended up 2nd in the national, is that idiot saying she's not worthy of becoming a pro ?!
Yes, being a pro is hard, but like his coach said, it's not an actual requirement to win the nationals. Being top 4 or even top 8 would already be an achievement, especially with how little tennis history he actually has.
Makes me hope he's actually going to lose the nationals and give up going pro... >.<
