...At this point, why is the author even bothering spending time hyping up the villains and laying out their plans if its all just go to be beaten and destroyed like that. Its fucking annoying.

Just slaughter everyone and revel in it. no need to waste everyone time with stupidly one sided "fights".

100% agree. Total waste of time, I skip all of the villains' ultra-Nazi speeches at this point.
I am actually more in awe at how persistent the author is at portraying the villains as objectively evil people. It's to the point that
you have to wonder, how is it that we haven't seen even a single character that wondered: "Is this, perhaps, a touch too much?"

Sure, they don't need to think that humans are anything other than a sub-species that does not deserve respect. But, think and feel nothing about the notion of grinding their young and feeding it back to the parents, when you know these are species fully capable of emotion? In fact, it's crystal-clear that whomever suggested it is actually enjoying the idea of tormenting them? Why does every single villain has to only be one shade of black, and nothing else? Everything and their mother has to prove to the audience that the entire world is evil beyond evil, it's pathetic.

It's still good enough to flip through, though. Too bad about having to skip most of it.

Because it wouldn't be half as delicious otherwise, even if the premise and setup is cliche and even hamfisted.
The fuck do you even mean by "delicious"? Do you REALLY enjoy all of that padding?
Let me guess, you really love Chinese stories? Wuxia? Xianxia?

Holy FUCK.

She really out here with the "Come at me bro" and "IM HIM" energy all at once.

Well I hope those who chose to wear pants, wore the brown ones today... because I'm pretty sure a lot of people just shit themselves in surprise and fear.

From the very first chapter, it has been established that humans were considered by all other races as bottom-feeders whose only value is as slaves, toys or guinea pigs.
I'm surprised that you expect something like a "are we the baddies?" moment.
(That said, the dwarves are an exception as they simply consider humans as simply not worthy of interest.)

Worst part is that, aside from statistically insignificant exceptions like the masters and near-masters, humans are extraordinarily weak in this setting, making them a perfect target for exploitation by races who are only superficially civilized. What I call barbarians with a shallow veneer of sophistication. Because when you only value straight-up strength, you can't call yourself a civilization.

Funny thing is that the beastmen should be very wary of this situation. As they are barely a rank above in the racial ladder. If humans were to go extinct, they would likely be the next in line to become the bottom-feeders. If they were just a little bit smart, they would protect the humans, at the very least to keep them far from extinction. Mass abuse like what they were doing here would only get themselves closer to becoming the next slaves, toys and guinea pigs.

Moreover, they got baited with a few tools, but the smart response to the shady "human" who offered this bargain should have been along the lines of "if you're that confident, why don't you go yourself?"

Overall, this whole setup is basically cartoonishly evil. Don't expect villains to be smart, much less self-aware.
Aside from the mostly neutral dwarves, they're likely all lost causes if the elf arc is any indication.

They need to leave one mangled but alive to tell the other beast-kin of the destruction. Would displaying their corpses at the edge of the beast-kin territory be in poor taste?
Probably won't, why do you think they used an isolation item? so nobody peeks at what transpired inside and nobody escapes, letting someone escape and spill whatever spell, techniques and creatures they used would beat the purpose of isolating them. Also the 'witch' showed her face while other times she used her concealing hood. It's just enough for the beastkins to realize that their brethren who have gone to fight the witch, none of them ever returned, not to mention they have taken the human hostages they had in their warehouses from under they noses. She can just make a visit to the remaining leaders afterwards like she has done to the elf queen and dark elf chiefs to make her demands.

...So you also probably found Overlord a pain to read/watch through? Yeah I get what you say. Ainz, just bulldozes his way tp victory (or at most times is just stupidly lucky in his decisions or is luckily misrepresented by his subordinates) Personally atleast for this series, I enjoy it for what it is and does.

I would enjoy this if the author cut it with the crap of acting like Light has any reason at all to hold back. Of acting as if his opponents are even a challenge. Its annoying and frustrating when you know that this story has no reason to not just wrap things up at this point. Theres no threat anywhere, he has a magic card for every scenario, he can mind rape all the leaders and be done intime for dinner. Yet we keep spending several chapters still going through the villains plans and whatnot just to see it all defeated in the most one-sided battles you could imagine. Its gotten old and man does it feel like things are dragging.

Legit question to those who might have read all 137 chapter. How worth is it tor read? I saw the title, read few early chapter, and it's like the most generic trash one could ever be.

It dragged a lot by the second revenge target, it would be better if we had better translation, it uncovered a somewhat interesting lore by chapter 70 or 80 or so, I guess we are all waiting to see what's come out of it
