It's part's like "However Naano have a dream" Which is on the first page with that ridiculous watermark that are the issue. Some of it is fine, some of it absolutely awful.

When I went back to re-read it, to see if anything is glaringly awful, that line did pop up to me. But I thought to myself: "surely that can't be it, that's not that bad."
Welp, apparently it is for you guys. I tried to find some examples of dumpster fire translated wuxia, but I couldn't find anything within the amount of time I was willing to put into it.

I really don't understand the complaints about the TL and the watermarks. I've seen true Chinese-translation MTL garbage fire that is nigh unreadable even by the fastest of skim-readers, and I've seen watermarks that are right in the middle of every page of the entire comic. The result we've seen here is mild at best.

I feel like ya'll are used to really high quality scans if this sort of thing bothers you.
EDIT: I get the feeling that maybe they reuploaded the chapter. I can't tell via the timestamps, but the watermark isn't even on every single page. Only on 2-3. Or maybe ya'll really are grumpy, iuno.

Anyway,
I thought that the merchant was actually Light in disguise, considering in the prev chapters, their plan was to have the dwarf ruin himself, and have his own country fuck him over. But it does make sense that it might be his brother as well.
There isn't really an excuse. I'll toss it back and say maybe you're too used to the glut of low effort work that has come around these past few years thanks to MTL and AI editing. Especially if you imply the definition of a "high-quality scan" is one that has minimum basic grammar. I don't think people would complain as much if this at least met what I would call "average" or even "mediocre".

Why I say there's no excuse is because PR to produce a half-way decent fan-scalation level isn't hard for a native speaker. It's not professional localization. Back when I did scans, we literally picked people off the (online) streets to do it, no experience, different people every chapter, etc.

And frankly these days if you don't have one, there's literally ChatGPT or it's alternatives. You literally plug it in. This is where it goes from "no excuse" to being egregious. You can make a nice donation page, watermark your scans, but you can't copy paste shit into a chatbox. For simple PR, this is literally the easiest part these days.

I would be rather embarrassed to take actions to promote and shill my work, hobby or not, if I can't even do that. Especially if it's so horrible, raw MTL might spit out something more legible. This isn't some solo guy doing his first scan, or a problem with a group lacking a skilled translator typesetter or redrawer either.

Maybe you can do better too. Than just say you've seen some worse wuxia shit (and this is not even wuxia). Even saying you went to find some bad wuxia examples feels like you're deliberately digging into the bottom of the barrel. A more polished turd is still a turd. I don't really see how it invalidates complaints about readability.

I'm not saying your overall sentiment is wrong or invalid, and if someone would to have some pride in their work, there are indeed easy tools to use to validate there are no kinks. It is especially offputting that they can take the extra step to watermark the work, instead of using an accessible tool for error checking.
I get where you're coming from, you elaborated enough about that -- all I'm saying is that the overall sentiment here that "this TL is unreadable", or with less hyperbole: "The TL is piss poor" is an exaggeration. Replacing "has" with "have" at the start there is not that bad, neither are the rest of the minor mistakes here and there. The chapter is perfectly readable, I understood the intention of every character easily, and I could not find any glaring problems that ruin either "immersion" or my reading speed. I.E: I did not have to stop and mentally correct what the script was saying, versus what I think it should've been saying.

That means the TL is perfectly fine and serviceable. Even if they could do better. Especially since the (minor) problems themselves are grammar related, rather than bigger problems like the flow of the sentences, corrupting the meaning behind the scenes, etc.

Immersion and readability is subjective, not objective. That actually means you can't argue that because they're minor to you, they're minor to everyone else. You can't tell people to enjoy something they don't enjoy by saying you do. If a large number of people have a problem with it, then there's a problem.

I would actually contest that there's no flow problems or corrupted meanings too. But I think you won't budge on it, and it's pointless anyway if almost all the detail you're going to offer is "I looked and it's fine to me".

And don't talk as if you're above hyperbole or exaggeration either. You probably haven't even noticed your own use of dramatic words like "perfectly", or your cherry picking of the least problematic lines.

First of all, "everyone do" is way off the mark.
Secondly, obviously it's very difficult to properly articulate what and what is not "okay writing".
Thirdly, and obviously once again, you're absolutely correct that this line of talk is moot at this point. You know why? No matter how many times I tried to emphasize that I understand your POV, and tried to convey mine, you seemingly kept holding on to your ground and wrote a counter to whatever I had to write, instead of trying to listen. You were exasperating to try to talk to.
At least that level of anality helps to understand as to why switching "has" with "have" bothers you so much.

A trivia, the Sword that was translated as "Zett" is actually just ¨Z".
This is based on the British reading of the letter Z, which in Japan became popularized after the very famous anime Z Gundam (Zeta Gundam). The Z Sword in Dragon Ball Z is also called ゼットソード (Zetto Soodo), or Z Sword.

Another mistranslation is that Elly does not call Light as ¨Light-sama", but rather as ¨Light shin-sama", shin-sama using the same kanji for "Kami-sama" (God), in short, Elly always calls Light as God, that's how she always refers to his name.

The fact you need to do such roundabout bullshit to make decent equipment shows how talentless you are, dickhead dwarf. What Light went through is gonna be paradise in comparison to the pain he's gonna bring you.
