I'm also not 100% convinced this one has a fully-linear narrative though, either, as it sometimes feels almost vignette-like.
So maybe "all possible pairings/endings" will ultimately be explored, as a result, because none of it is "canon".

I hadn’t read Somebody’s Girlfriend and I skimmed it and afaik even though it’s billed as an NTR romdram

it looks like there was never any real NTR in the first place since the MC’s love interest had faked a relationship with her (irl pretend) boyfriend (/childhood friend and co-conspirator).

I see this as a plot heavy gag manga. Time progresses in this series.

The most recently released chapter takes place during summer break right before Comiket, so they’re going to head into the second of three terms pretty soon. IMO this implies the story is about 1/3rd complete since I figure the senpai’s graduating will mark the end of the series.

That’s all to say there’s a long ways to go.

But since it’s a gag manga I don’t see any major betrayals or heavy twists on the horizon. Character development and shifting relationships, sure. Personally I’m just waiting for the other shoe to cuck, so to speak.

I'd always understood

NTR as also encompassing the emotional side of feeling cheated/betrayed/stolen from even if in the cases where it doesn't physically happen, so just the perception/fantasizing of it happening would count, in that case.

If I'm incorrect, then disregard me on that.

I do see what you mean by gag comic first but also still containing story and plot/character progression, though. Part of my misconception probably has to do with the plethora of "extra" chapters that don't necessarily slot into the actual narrative, but do expand the character lore, as you stated, so not reading this super carefully/consistently makes it feel less cohesive than it actually is.
