When searching for a specific manga type the date should not be adjusted by the most recent comments date but by the chapters most recent release. I find the comments refreshing the most recent manga datetime to be in error.

The date is not adjusted by the most recent comments. The confusion may be arising from the fact that the date gets updated when a chapter of any language gets uploaded.
