was gonna comment on how lowkey savage Ayumu's comment about how "even senpai can catch a cold" was but then SURPRISE NAKED SENPAI made me forget all about it.

But that was a cute chapter. Ayumu being earnest, speaking her mind (even to her dismay), and Hayami-senpai fully meeting her halfway with the hug--only to turn around and confess that she had no grand aspiration before, but now she thinks she might.

That with the little moments of Hayami-senpai noticing a little dokidoki of her own in both chapters, and this was some good stuff.

Thanks for the TL.

Seeing all these recent chaps, I don't get how people think the childhood friend has any chance in hell to even be in this race.

She isn't even in the audience stand.

The author does not really hide that they don't actually see her as a part of this "triangle" at all, with how they barely ever give her focus, only pulling her out when they need her to antagonize the protags for progress.

Hmmm tbh this is making me feel like Hayami is more demiromantic in this case at this point. Compared to the childhood friend, Ayumu has constantly been willing to go at Hayami’s pace of comfortability. Not forcing too much to make her uncomfortable while clearly communicating what she wants as long as it’s appropriate.

She shows her emotions and love earnestly without any pretense of “this is how it’s supposed to be/this is how you’re supposed to feel towards me” that the childhood friend does

She's getting through! Her earnestness is getting through!!

It is a very nice feeling to be so kindly loved, though. So much so that your goals could make them feel such intense emotions for you. Empathy is such a cool thing.

I love mutually supportive relationships, so I really look forward how this turns out.
