Yeah, no. This manga is stupid. Imagine escaping to Vietnam after a murder. As if world class criminal don't get caught within a week of escaping to Vietnam.

Honestly, I'm not seeing the point of the story yet. Is not funny, is not dramatic and not an action story...

genuinely curious, why would it be so easy to get caught in Vietnam in particular? Are their authorities that close with Japanese authorities?

I love this manga, somehow it describe part of the Vietnamese life very well. Of course some aspect may be fiction (who know) but this help Japanese and foreigner know that in Vietnam there are people who are good and bad, and we are just people who living their lives just like everyone else.
P/s: About the easy to get caught in Vietnam is a thing our people believe in, but tbh those who didn't get caught wouldn't speak for themselves isn't it.

The social life of Vietnam is vastly different from that of Japan and many other parts of the world. People are more interconnected there, so it's very easy for someone like an amateur runaway criminal draw suspicion and get reported to the police. The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security also has high cooperation with INTERPOL, ASEANPOL as well as neighboring, European and some Pacific Asian countries such as SK and Australia. The only real bottle neck would be due to some kind of managed incompetence from the Japanese Police and people to then fail to post a bounty, which is not that likely considering that the girl went abroad immediately after having her husband go missing, leading to suspicions from his colleagues and families.
