Hello! We haven't been using the Netflix adaptation as reference anymore for a while now due to certain reasons. You could tell by the credits page.

Older Baki scans (both Wild Fang and the old TheSpinyBackTeam ones) are filled with mistranslations and made-up lines. I'm afraid those older details were probably either an overly verbose "translation" or simply made up. 😅
