Jack has all that money for all those drugs and all those surgeries but can't allow himself to afford a half-decent place to live that is not a cramped run-down apartment.
Probably a conscious choice to live that way. Something like "better living won't make me stronger, but there are other things money can buy that will".

What now? Jack basically had his first taste of luxury ever... I wonder how that'll affect him
Well, second taste...

Still makes zero sense that Jack and Hanayama have never met, seen, or heard of each other. Pretty sure at the very least, Hanayama frequently spectates big matches.

Hanayama was watching Jack's fight with Pickle, wasn't he? And they were both in the Maximum Tournament, even if they never met in-bracket...

Imagine if UFC allowed biting, would the grappling part of it become obsolete?
No, if you're stuck in a rear naked choke you can't bite your way out. But if someone has taken your back they can bite your neck easily

Or if someone gets top position they'd look to try and bite the other guy while controlling them with their weight

Biting is just another weapon for wrestlers, same with headbutts, grounded knees, eyepokes etc

Grappling would practically fucking dissipate. Who's going to pull guard when a dude can chomp on a finger, arm, cheek, or thigh? I'm sure there are some positions that might stop a bite, but not so many that folks could reliably use them as match finishers. The triangle choke, arm bar, and knee bar all lose a significant chunk of variations.

I'm sure Hanayama only meant for the raw liver as a gift to help Jack regain the blood he lost in the fight.

But watch as this gift backfires and gives Jack an insatiable lust for raw liver and he bites a chunk from Hanayama during their fight. :lul:

(livers are one of the few things humans can regenerate so it could technically happen)

Imagine how much UFC would have to pay for 2 packs of shiny new teeth after each match, because dental mouthguard isn't a viable piece of equipment with this condition. Some may not use teeth, but granted, somebody will get their teeth caved in.

Actually Jack eating the liver without using his teeth shows that he doesn't have RESOLVE and INTEGRITY or something.

For the love of god we have had these conversations so many times already and not just in this part...

To be fair he also travels a lot so he probably doesn't care for his residence. Like he stayed at the chairman's house for several months.
