& Itagakigumi? Huh? Is that a pun, translator, or is Itagaki working with someone now? If he is though it makes sense. Guy's been a machine for years now, and taking super long breaks. Interesting.

Since the first few chapters Itagaki has been on and on about the bite force and the jaw leading to power throughout the body. Is there any chance that he marries the two concepts? As in: the “bite” is what holds the prey in place at large, then the "bite down” into a “clenched jaw” yields the perfect tension as well as positioning for the most devastating "response" possible.
With Hanayama, if Jack can find a way to “bit” the rawest form of pure power that has been represented in the manga so far, then it means that the technique of Jack’s new form is all about how to secure the “bite”. Right? Victory would be assure after it but getting TO that point is the journey and refinement he has to get around.
That's a really nice analysis of what makes Goudou so terrifying, thanks for sharing and pointing it out. That "certainty" and "achieving that certainty" is definitely the core of this way of fighting, and it falls in line perfectly with both the Hanma pursuit of strength and Jack's willingness and purity to achieving his goals.

It's just the name for his studio and connections. There's a box full of credits on the original Japanese page, but it's small and annoying to read at the size it's published. Maybe I'll look for an up to date list in the volumes somewhere.

I'd wager the spine is the more "complete part of us". But what do I know? :boomer:

It seems the spine did indeed come first and the jaw after. Then again, who would rip out their own spine and use it as weapon? Besides that one series from Image Comics (at least I think it was) where a dude does just that, but that's neither here nor there.

That sounds insane lol I kinda need to see that now.

I mean at least shit was happening then : /

This is the third chapter in the row of nothing but Jack getting punched in the face
It’s only nothing happening if you don’t read the words or use the mental process known as “thinking”
