What was the point of this arc?

The Jobber's Arc lmao. You forgot he also jobbed to Jack Hanma and got a permanent decrease in his power cause Jack ate his pinky.

This arc is such a disappointment because it happens right after the Miyamoto Musashi arc (which was fucking badass as fuck).

Ahh, the Baki Strength Parabola. You start off getting built up as the new hotness, then suddenly you peak and you're getting jobbed out by the mainstays or utterly wrecked by whoever's the NEW new hotness.
The formula feels a little bland nowadays, huh?

Like no matter what the series peaked there it couldnt have had a better ending

Insane how the manga starts of with Sukune literally doing something Yujiro couldn't and now everybody is raping his ass lmao

Baki is always fun, but I agree that how choreographed this loss was ... trending past grounds. Like, traditional or style specialized fighter will lose. Be them sumo or boxer masters. Musashi was a beast because he was always in a Void stance, capable of everything basically.

So... as much as I think its fun to go through different fight styles (like an anthology), the next arc should deviate from that, no doubt, or it will be very repetitive. But it would take a more creative mind than mine to think what could go. Maybe a "everybody gotta find someone to train and to win a tournament, instead of fighting themselves" arc; maybe an all out war between everybody that hasn't defeated Yujiro yet. Or SOME fight to the death, which hasn't occurred more than once in this manga, which is kind of nuts, but also very amusing.

Either way, excited for what's next. Gonna consider this arc more of a breathing room, or simple fast food filler.

the whole childhood stuff is so long past for me, I just thought of the fights in this arc and I think that any fight that doesn't include Baki was more fun than this one. He's just too strong and that makes him really boring in my eyes.
