I like the chapter's title. Hayase is a romantist who had his dreams crushed by reality so as the captain of his businesses, he has to keep his ship afloat if it meant to sacrifice his ideals. Bambi puts his livelihood and dignity on the line to say some ballsy things to the guy who gave him a place for employment. The past chapter made me think Hayase was a bit ruthless for killing their motivation to fix their restaurant but ultimately they just need to make sacrifices and resolve in order to change their fates. These past chapters were great because of these drastic transitional swings.

Only in a manga can the half-paid workers stay motivated enough to provide luxury-class restuarant service and labor.

Cutting half is a bit too much. A year and a half is too long too.
I'd lose motivation easily even if it's just 6 months.

Considering waiting staff don't get a single yen in tips u japan, there is no way in hell they can manage to survive a year and half with half wage, at this point why not work for free then? It's not like they all seems to spend all their day off at the restaurant anyway.
Why do they all agree to do that? It's not like the restaurant belonged to them. They are just employee

This is as stupid as "the power of friendship" trope in Shonen

From a loose count of those at the meeting, I'm assuming that Legare has 16 employees. 3.6 million per month in payroll means each employee makes about 225,000 yen per month on average. That's livable, but 112,500 yen per month sounds pretty absurd.
As much as I love the sense of romanticism in Ban's proposal, I really can't imagine every employee being on board with that.
