This guy is an idiot. All he has to do is offer a portion of his jade elixir in exchange for the ice jade orchids. Robbing people attracts too much attention. He could've leveled up more than he is with a study supply of ice jade orchids. The merchant is crafty enough to figure out he's the one robbing everybody. Pretty soon the info on who's robbing people will be worth more than the amount of money he's taking. The merchant would be inclined to sell him out.

@CyberianGinseng but it would be dangerous if other people knew that the MC can create jade elixir. The earth fire, which is worse than the MC's true fire, is one of the most important treasures of the sect. What do you think would happen if the sect finds out that an outer disciple has a true fire?
