Highly Recommend. I’ve read up till volume 9. You can buy the English official.
As expected from Princess Comic. They always present amazing fantasy shoujo manga.
Since long ago PC always piqued my interest (like Akuma no Hanayome, Gin no Valkyrie, Tenkyuu no Gyokuza, and many more).
I really need more something like this; something new, something intriguing to piqued my interest.
Let’s talk about the manga itself. It really is good and solid.
I love the main character, he is she. She is strong and clever. She will do everything it takes, but still showing her weak side. Henry is handsome too, what should I say? He really is,and it’s not good for my heart who always skip a beat whenever see an ikemen. But both of them hold dark past inside, a bloody love story between two roses.
The conflict already started since the beginning which is a good option. This manga is a serious version of Akatsuki no Yona, everything about rebellion, war and intrigue in-out of the kingdom. But the intrigue here is more widespread and complex. I even think this is way better than Akatsuki no Yona and the rest.
Conflict is shown in every chapter, without fully pause, its state is described completely in tense and standby situations. What triggered the problem here from many sides, especially from each individual. Such as betrayal, infidelity, selfishness which is then mixed with political problems.
The storyline is really interesting. What about romance? No worries, you don’t know how many times I’m screaming when the time comes. The most powerful way with this kind of story is, presented something serious in the beginning, and then presented a sweet scene later. The impact will be strong, it makes us realize how difficult the situation they have to face. And then it will make the reader react “Oh no, they must end up together”. That’s it!
I am not lying. When the time comes, many lovely scenes, and portrayed beautifully. My feeling is mixed up. It is touched my heart. It is different with teenage love story. Well, but you can see only around volume 6 and above.
But.. there is but. What their relationship becomes? Read it. Prepare yourself.

tragic and poetic and beautiful at the same time
i was gonna say it reminded me of shakespeare and lo and behold apparently it's partially based off of shakespeare's richard iii. I LOVE IT

Reverse harem (?) with an intersex protagonist? This sounds like a pretty original attempt at making a male version of Kampfer.

This manga is so good y'all, so much political intrigue, personal struggles that Richard deals with as an intersex man, and tragic romance... I ended up buying the English manga after reading the first 6 chapters here

this is such a good manga, but it might not be for everyone because it deals with some pretty sensitive topics. i even ended up buying both the physical and digital copies copies just because i absolutely fell in love with the story and art! definitely one of my favs!

since the story is based on a tragedy, i'm really hoping that we will get a happy ending since the artist has taken some liberties with the story, but tbh i highly doubt it. i just want everyone to be happy, but it'll most likely still have a tragic ending :') shame on me for getting too attached to fictional characters hA :')
