I love how important religion is in this story, and how it shows the tragedies that come around when your culture (and religion) is dying out to the victorious civilization. Really shows how Africa and Near East was converted irl to Islam, and how certain parts of Europe were converted to Christianity.

It's really refreshing to see a piece of media discuss things like beliefs and morality in a very not "in your face" way. Really shows the difference between writers who actually want to explore these concepts and writers who just want to win an oscar.
