Thanks a bunch. This whole unused material really explains a lot of things that had been left untouched (or vaguely explained) for a while.

It turns out the 10 wisemen are not that bad of people. They initially seem to sincerely have hoped for humanity to overcome the losses and fear of astral beings, though got lost in the feeling of satisfaction of basically being omnipotent along the way.
