I've thought deeply and frequently about Kito and his situation, and I find my feelings align closely with Hinoki's take. I very much understand Kito's circumstances and his growth and I empathize with the upbringing that led to the actions he took for freedom, but the repercussions propagated far beyond the initial damage he dealt and can't be fixed with merely self reflection or regular visits to the physically injured. Time and consistent effort from everyone affected might heal the wound, but the scar will remain.
