My hate for Marui is stale but ongoing. Of course the team would have fun after an 18-0 lead with the 3rd string catcher stepping in to face a mentally decimated opponent.

As an improbable detail from the author's writing, the plot had to do some gymnastics for the team to have made it around the batting cycle for Jouji to pinch hit a triple and then have Minami hit a home run in the same inning. The 4th inning has Kano hitting a home run from a score of 16-0 as the third batter with 1 out on the board showing on page 1. They would have to hit singles or walks 4 times to make the score 18-0, then get 2 outs, making the top of the 5th inning start at the first batter. Since Jouji is hitting on 2 outs with no one on, this means Tobita and Hanamoto had to both get outs as the 1st and 2nd batter, which is probably the most unlikely thing so far given how good they normally are, but this plot hole has a silver lining where Jouji pinch hits for Marui as 3rd batter, supporting the fact that Marui is shit at batting and doesn't deserve any time at the plate. Kadomatsu and Washinaka get walked as 4th and 5th batters to fill the bases, and Minami who's slotted as the 6th batter hits a grand slam, fulfilling the slim conditions to match the scoreboard still showing 18-0 in the 5th inning on page 14.

Also, for my foreign friends, XYZ is the classy way to say examine your zipper. Piggy's fly was down with his micropiggy hanging out.
