@marcyvq You can shift your body to not take the full force of a strike so long as it doesn't hit it in a position where you can't rotate the energy elsewhere. In boxing this is called neckspin. It's also a technique in chinese boxing where you push the force elsewhere. Aang also studied (Avatar) circle walking which is all about diverting force and evasiveness.

Finally caught up to the current chapter on Batuque...now just waiting for more.

Initially I was pretty put off by the start of this manga but I like it more as it goes on, keeping the early rivals in the group and giving them their own fights, and all the small twists and turns with Icchi's parents and the Ogun Union is much more compelling to me than the start of the manga was.
