@RyoSaeba That's not the case. The mother escaped, although Ichiri doesn't know that. And she loses any motivation to continue if the parents are killed, hence the penalty.

@PringleHunter Her mother escaping isn't relevant since Ichiri has no knowledge of that, also the penalty has always been hurting her parents, how can you consider that a proper conclusion?
Ichiri would be devasted by that and all will go accordingly to BJ plan, they even explained it right in this chapter (page 4 and 5).
A proper conclusion would be to either exceed BJ's expectations or to overturn them somehow in a weird way, which I wouldn't mark out giving how Batuque is.
Still, after reading those last panels with Jyungo, I believe they could be going with the easy route and just let Ichiri win in a calm fighter vs berserker type of fight.
