I should say that I am always confused by how strong the author seems to make Busou look like for then giving them defeats but in games that we never see so not knowing about the other team (I am NOT talking about Noa's team but the defeats that they already had before that game). But anyway, I understand that this is not easy to handle.

The team dropping those losses is due to Ryuu being in poor form since being dropped by Kunikita. Busou is a team completely reliant on its stars and can't consistently win without them.
