My guess is synonymous and great master sound the same in Japanese?

edit: found my answer earlier. synonymous is daimeishi and "great master" is daimeishu

Wait, is it me or the author messed up his match draws if we compare that chapter and chapter 404 (SOS)? I mean, Noa's team was supposed to be on the other block with Fukuoka and that is actually the reason why Sakuraba said that they could meet only in finals. Or maybe I am wrong somewhere...

@Blu7 yeah not sure what happened with the brackets honestly. Author seems to have changed a couple of things from 404

@NinjaSpider maybe that's how he understood that he needed to rest? LOL. It would be interested to compare with the released volume version later on just by curiosity. Because I know for instance that authors redraw or add new pages and/or apologies when they made these kind of "mistakes" in pre-bublication magazines ("Ahiru no Sora" author for instance). Anyway, thanks. At least I am not crazy 😃

@Blu7 @NinjaSpider Felt off the first time I read it and have now finally gone back and checked it myself. Originally Busou was to meet Saijou at the semi's on the left side of the bracket, where as Akagi Chuuou was looking to play against Fukuoka Minami in the semis over on the right side of the bracket.

The seed system looks a bit weird considering Busou won the summer inter-high they don't even get a seed into this winter tournament for a first round bye but plenty of other teams do. Unless it is purely based off the previous winter tourney results...

@YesEvil yeah I mean the bracket in this chap is basically saying that Busou needs to beat every relevant school (Saijou, Akagi, Fukuoka) in order to win the tournament, which is the standard shounen strategy in the tournament that the main school wins. I was honestly a bit surprised when I saw that Busou would play only one of Akagi and Fukouka in the 404 bracket, but it sort of made sense because we've seen a glimpses of a lot of matches against Akagi. However, now with them probably facing Akagi in the semis, I'm also ok because the only in-depth match against Akagi was the one at the beginning of the 200s.

sakuraba never fails to suprise and amuse me. he really cares about ryuu enough to call the guy who injures him lol. he probably either doesnt realize it or is too stubborn to admit it. his character development is immense and funny to watch lolol.
