This manga is truly quite fascinating in a way. It deals with realistic issues, something I would normally hate. However, it's quite far away from our own reality and the issues aren't of our world, that's what makes it interesting even to me who doesn't want to be reminded of the dark parts of our world but has no issue when it comes to other worlds and fantasy.
It's quite intriguing to see him and the rest of these animals get along. It's like a more gruesome and realistic version of murenase shiiton gakuen without the comedy. I still really prefer the comedy murenase shiiton gakuen as my favorite part of life is to laugh and feel nice, but this is great in its own way once in a while.
At first, it seemed like just a normal drama manga with animal people, but it quickly proved me wrong since the author actually brought in the instincts of animals and made it play such an extremely heavy part.
Anyway, kind of funny how the author talks about temperatures in the end. Where I live, it doesn't get that hot in summer either, just around 30C at most in summer, usually just around 25C. But as for the winter temperature, what's up with that statement from the author as if -10C is a lot? A lot of exclamation points and saying that it gets "very cold" and that it can "drop to -10c"... Haha. -10c? That's nothing. We had -10c during the night last week and -2c during the day. This is in freaking mid april, well into spring and when things start getting warmer. During winter, we had over -15c most of the time, even going up to -25c and even -30c sometimes. This is just normal as well. Also, it snowed almost every day and sometimes you could get half a metre of snow in one day, was a real pain in the fucking ass to shovel it all away every time more than 5cm of snow had gathered on the ground. One time we had one metre of snow in one night, the only time that trains and buses actually stopped for a few hours to get it out of the way
...I really hate winter here. It's just a pain in the ass. Risk of slipping and falling, a lot of work with shoveling(there's A LOT to get out of the way, decently sized private parking spots, each that can fit 3 cars and we also had to open up a path between all parts of the garden etc) and it just never seems to end and is really way too cold. Only the people out in the countryside or even further up north would feel like winter is pretty good because they'll have fun with snowmobiles and shit.
