In japanese, to Abin's remark ”そういう嫌だ” (souiu iya da) = "they're really that bad", he answers "本当嫌だ、耳だけに” (hontou iya da, mimi dake ni) = "of course they're bad, they're ears"
The joke there is that "iya" here can mean both "bad" (to simplify), and ear. "iya" is the japanesification of hte english "ear", and used for example to describe the different kind of ears dog have (ドロップイヤ = doroppu iya = dropping ears).
It's really the same level of lame pun!
