This fight sucks. Looking at the ending, I understand the author did it like this to have Chris go up in wyze proficiency fueled by rage, but it felt too forced. Chris first fought like a noob, to make Pumpky sacrifice itself, so that he could undergo a textbook shounen power up fueled by emotion. Instead of that foolishness, the fight could have still been good, yet not enough to subdue the orc lord. It would have led to the same conclusion. Instead we had Chris attack the orc lord's weapon instead of the orc lord himself. Which one is the enemy, the sword or the man wielding the sword, huh? Chris could have skewered the orc lord from the behind. If the orc lord hadn't wanted that to happen, he would have needed to abandon his attack against the geezer. But no, Chris somehow had the leeway to circle around the orc lord of stop the sword from descending. All the while the geezer was sitting on his ass doing nothing.
An extremely poorly executed fight, with zero hype.

Yeah, this story has had an issue since chapter 1 of undeserved power-ups i.e. asspulls. I could excuse the 1st chapter because it's the genesis of the plot (the artifact) but artifacts haven't been really fleshed out this entire time and it's been nothing but wyze asspull powerups during the moment when he needs it the most. I'm reading it just to catch up but it's really uninspiring. This fight sucks.
