Oh man, it has been a while since I saw the trope of 'evil organization unwittingly gives a hero a power up of a darker nature', or at least, as a b-plot, throwaway thing.

And man, its been a year. Thank you guys so much for all of your work! I know I say it here a lot, but I really appreciate you guys doing this work for a series I thought was never going to even see Beet's original buster.

Altogether we got through the better part of 4 volumes and a total of 18 chapters so far. It's been wild doing baton passes back and forth with Jacob to take turns on chapters, and it's been sick to watch some of this sort of niche fanbase become revived to some capacity as a result of all of our efforts.

Yeah, I agree with you Roi. During this whole process, I’ve learned so much stuff about the Japanese language, and I’m glad it got me to the point of doing scanlations with you. I may not be fluent in Japanese, but I’m glad I understand each individual letter. Overall, I’m glad that we’re able to revive this fanbase to an extent, Roi. Thank you very much!

Just went and registered to say thanks for translating this very underrated and awesome series.

Beet deserves a comeback. I'm not even someone who read it back when it was coming out
I actually learned about it because my favorite anime movie ever is written by Riku Sanjo:

MD Geist

So I was curious what his other works were and I became a fan of Beet The Vandel Buster
I think about a couple years ago and then after that Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai.

I know it will never happen but I think a MD Geist and Beet The Vandel Buster crossover
would be hilariously awesome.

I think the anime for Beet was good but the manga deserves a reboot and reprint in the west.
