Lol, more soap opera distortions, it's hilarious. Beethoven was cantankerous, but he had several bright pupils from nobility, chief among whom Prince Archbishop Rudolph of Austria, who was good enough to have Beethoven write the piano part of the Triple Concerto for him. Some of the candidates for his "Immortal Beloved" were his students and noblewomen, too.
Then again, one of the charms of this series is to make everything in Beethoven's first life gloomy and tragic.
