This is one of the vaguest endings I've ever come across. And even the series itself was quite vague most of the time. I'm guessing Weiwei is abroad and writing a letter to Ding and at the end we see Ding going to her after presumably graduating (we know the residency was 2 years, so it's possible for her to graduate), tho the short hair is a surprise.

Idk what my feelings are on this series as a whole, but I definitely felt something
