Ngl, for what i have seen of the other translation, MC is kinda an asshole who will do anything to have an interview.
If i remember correctly, the old description was even talking about rape so that kinda give you the overall theme of the manga. MC travel to inspect about mythology being and doesn't care the slightest about the being feelings.MC is just the cliché you can have of a reporter, doesn't care the slightest about the one they interview if they can make a good article about it.
