I knew the story was going to do this shit- why even tackle challenging issues if your just going to say the male children or adult male characters are 100% irresponsible for their action like every other webtoon lol. Yeah they are children, but so was she. Just because your suffering doesn’t give you a free pass to do that to others.
Not to mention Ive seen the parents counsel the crying Erich, invite everyone to eat together go out together and do nice things for all the family. Yes the did focus on Hari but she was sick…its normal to give more attention to a new child especial a sick one.[The sinister things the parents are doing aside] Even if the other sister didn’t die young, if you have 4 children parents will have to divide their attention.

@blazing_boz The boys weren't given a free pass though. Eugene felt huge guilt towards Hari and led him to confront his parents. If not for him acknowledging his faults, they may all still be a broken family. Cabel was never explicitly treating her badly. He plays rough and doesn't really consider his regular thing to be a heavy burden on Hari. That's a child's way of thinking that someone older should correct- which Hari is doing lol. Erich is the youngest, so the loss of his sister and the loss of his mom's affection really took a toll on him. He probably felt unloved and the only person he could vent that to was Hari. It doesn't excuse his behavior but he's a child who needed guidance when guidance wasn't available to him. That's available now as shown when they were having tea.
If we accept actual 7yr old Hari as a victim, we must also be readily able to accept 7/8yr old Erich as a victim.
It wasn't just the lack of attention. They didn't want Hari to replace their deceased sister. It wasn't just the mom who couldn't accept that loss. The kids couldn't either. If we can also readily accept the mom's mental breakdown, we should also be accepting of the children's inability to completely emotionally comprehend the weight of the death of their sister.
These kids don't need punishing. They need to be taught how to love and care.
If we accept actual 7yr old Hari as a victim, we must also be readily able to accept 7/8yr old Erich as a victim.
It wasn't just the lack of attention. They didn't want Hari to replace their deceased sister. It wasn't just the mom who couldn't accept that loss. The kids couldn't either. If we can also readily accept the mom's mental breakdown, we should also be accepting of the children's inability to completely emotionally comprehend the weight of the death of their sister.
These kids don't need punishing. They need to be taught how to love and care.

Feeling guilty are not repercussions for your actions mate;
Also The older brother only confronted his parents after the time reversal- nor do we get insight on what exactly was said during that conversation. The flash back we got of Hari she was when she was still being incredibly meek in the face of the brother’s bullying her so that points out he knew what he was doing was wrong even before her older mind time leaped to the past. What leads to one’s bad behavior isn’t an excuse for their action’s either- its just apologist rhetoric. You tacked on how you’re not excusing his actions but you literal just going on and on doing so.
Victim and perpetrator being the same age don’t cancel out the crime.
Being the same age doesn’t mean you are not responsible for action
[again you are making apologist excuses for the boys] these are just ridiculous statement. There are children that are murders-not the accidentally kind[ rare what it happens]. There is a level of capability for one’s action even at the young age because children are not complete idiots. I will not disagree that the developing mind of a child doesn’t understand the full scope of things to an adults degree but acts of aggression and understanding human emotions is not one of them. Neither is attempted murder which the opening chapters of the series mentions happens. All the children are well aware that what they did was wrong, maybe not Caleb who is depicted as an air head. Enrich is well aware that he crossed the line and explicated said he wanted to get ride of Hari when he left her in the snow. The Narration in the beginning even stated Enrich just expected his brother would cover for him. He is well at the age that he knows the harm cold weather can do to the human body.-especial Victorian England.
Yeah~ a mental breakdown and psychological break of a mind is in no shape or form and equivocation to the development state of child’s mind in any way. A psychological break or psychosis ,which are symptoms the mother is clearly showing thinking her dead daughter is alive,– leading a person to having a distorted grasp on material reality is not the same as a child developing brain.
A sick brain is not a developing brain. Grief is not a mental illness
They are getting a free pass- clearly ye’ apologist fans , once again don’t want to see any repercussion for bad male behavior. Love isn’t a magic cure for transgressions, they ~need~ therapy . Also their is plenty of evidence for the culling of bad behavior with the use of some positive reinforcement,and negative punishment[and I mean this in terms of behavior psychology]. Proper repercussions and consequences for bad behavior measured appropriately for the actions is needed, not love and care. So a Nanny or governess will do if the parent's cannot handle their parenting duties, instead of relying pre-teen son to do so.

Who is this “we” your talking about, people reading this story are not a hivemind, though its clear some opinions are shared in groups but human have their own independent thoughts and opinions? Why are you pretending you are conglomerate of people speaking? Be responsible for own opinion.

Seen her from afar only and is unmarried for that long while being such a good marriage candidate? Something tells me to be wary of him.
