Oh, I see now. Chapter 4 and 5 are currently the same thing. Maybe a chapter was missing and they're trying to fix it?

With the superior intellect of a twenty seven year old woman, you could be correcting them every time they say something stupid. How can you not talk circles around a brat who dares say he hates you, who was brought in by their parents on their decision, for not being their dead sister? They have no right.
I still love this though. Maybe she can get to the root of the issue now that she's older.

...these seem like normal kids. And despite the fact that children can be monsters, these three aren't even that bad.

why does Eugene's expression look like that when she says she hates them, like he just said he hates her so......

The author does a poor job of showing rather than telling. MC keeps saying she's abused and that she hates this family, yet it all seems like some misunderstanding. These boys are acting like normal boys might when some random girl shows up to essentially replace their dead sister. And they aren't even that abusive. Some light teasing and coldness but nothing that matches up to the level described by the MC. The way it all was introduced was just as underwhelming. A short exposition and we're just supposed to understand and sympathize with the MC? What did they do? Why did they do it? How do they actually feel? I can't even fill in the blanks for why the MC feels the way she does when she seems so happy and well cared for before being sent back. And as kids she still seems to be cared for, just a bit cold and distant. I just don't get how she feels the way she does when we have yet to see why she would. If anything, what I'm seeing is that for those 20 years she's just been telling herself that she's abused and made no effort to become part of the family all the while being ungrateful for the awkward love they've expressed towards her. Hell, she even spits on the kindness of her adoptive father who clearly genuinely loves her and defends her. Am I supposed to relate to her? Like her? Because to me she's just a self-centered brat and drama queen. I want to give this series a chance because of its rating but with this writing idk if I'll last past the next chapter.
