I think if I had one very minor gripe, it's that 1786 months isn't even 150 years, so people forgetting about the war and the seal doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I don`t think it is about forgetting, but rather the theme of this manga is information itself (as shown with the fake news part in this chapter). How is information getting distorted over 150 years.

Also it's an actual humankind problem with natural disasters. Nobody remembers the volcano is dangerous even if scientists say it's active.
