I don't really like Amane's ideology. There doesn't really exist a person that only has the things you like. That's just impossible and you'll just seem picky and be alone if you live by that. It's only when you notice their good and bad traits and accept it is when you can truly call them your best friend.
Or she is referring to loving all their traits (good/bad) and it's a bit lost in the translation error and I could be arguing for nothing xD

@sakurabonx3 Seeing her carefree personality...I think she was kinda referring to what you meant. There is no "perfect best friend" so you just gotta try and be friends with everyone and accept them for the good and bad like she did with that Sonoyama even though she didn't like that bit about how she debates.

Both of their reaction to nail art girl kinda makes me like them less. I'm speculating here, but it feels like a symptom of Japanese "fall in line, don't stand out" mentality. They're literally like "trying to change a school rule you think makes no sense and lowers your quality of life is stupid". And the whole "I like that the school rules here are strict", I seriously cannot imagine that this would have a good, rational justification if you tried to prod deeper into her reasoning here.
