Thanks for the chap, glad to see you sticking with it.

Can't wait for the princess's confusion ( / mind control misunderstanding ) when the demon queen goes "oh, the sword's missing? I don't really like it, but I guess I should help you find it since it's important to the humans."

Betting that the holy sword will be used by a bad guy to try to kill the FMC.
I suspect more likely given the way the door got opened that the sword was stolen by a monster who is hoping that the FMC will use that opportunity. At some point, the thief is going to show up out in the open to demand why she hasn't killed the hero yet.

Perhaps this was a good thing. We do remember the armor had 'deception' on it earlier so there's a chance the kingdom has some means of using both it and the holy sword to somehow control/bind the hero... (conspiracy, isekai/fantasy style ...that said, in at least half the isekais/fantasies so far the paranoia is easily justified..)

Remember that the demon lord said her subordinates either died or left
her so I doubt the one who stole it is a demon or monster. Its more likely one of the humans or humaniods.

I think the implication is that this time, no one showed up when she resurrected likely because they saw no point in fighting the hero head on. I strongly believe a monster has been following him this entire time and saw an opportunity to take the sword and took it.

Also, based on the way these sorts of stories work, I strongly suspect that the holy sword can only be used by the chosen hero. That's why a random peasant guy got chosen and given the one of a kind legendary item and thus, the sword is no good to other people.

edit: also, based on that logic, the monster that stole it is probably taking the form of a little girl just to round out the harem
