this whole finale has just been the author speedrunning the worst most overdone shounen battle manga tropes and he's not even doing them well. Literally from the second Mirio got killed the first time the manga fell off a cliff. I'm just continuing to see the ending, but it just keeps going with this shit.
It's not even speedrunning the tropes. It's just arbitrarily chucking them at at the wall.
And then this happened. And then this happened. And then this happened too. Does it make sense? Do they go together? Was it ever set up or foreshadowed? Does it in any way not feel like the author is randomly pulling them out of his ass to cover for the fact that he stopped having an idea where this story was going like 20+ chapters ago? Nope! But who cares, just keep jangling your keys at the audience and hope they don't have time to stop and raise a fuss until it's milked a few more chapters out ahead of the executioner's axe falling on it.
Because seriously, at this point I have zero hope that this is going to get any sort of resolution, satisfactory or otherwise, before someone puts a bullet in the story and it wraps with some sort of unsatisfying BS.
