Jiangshi are not Zombies as we know them in Western media, and it's pretty obvious that "Jiang Shishi" is one. They are arguably more analogous to Eastern Vampires with a few quirks, so no idea why the translation team decided to localise it that way.

Funnily enough, it's what the "Zombie Hopping" line is about as well, as Jiangshi typically hop around with their hands out in front of them.

So yeah, this is an East Meets West story with the Vampire archetypes from both.
