The one time I agree with the Inspector.
It's not about being Fair, it's about being Dominant. If Ming feels offended that their cut is dropping, they may crush you and start over with a new puppet(not that I know the strength of China and Korea at this time).
If you go, you need to be prepared that they'll use this chance to flex. Maybe even demand the prince as a hostage.
