Thanks! I remember this chapter from the Italian edition, the translation notes mentioned "Lt. Kuronbo" was supposed to be a racist joke or something.

That's correct. Kuronbo means "darkie". Didn't double check on that word when it actually isn't written as "Koronbo" Columbo the TV show which is referenced.
