It's like bows. The commanders always say to "fire" them regardless of how incorrect the term is until the advent of firearms. And while you can use it for magic, I doubt they'd use the name of a specific element for all magic, so it'd still be weird.

Except that wasn't the context. Luke referred to it as "...your fire attack" on page 21. On page 31, the Knight referred to Noel's powers as "...her tremendous fire magic". Which is why I commented what I did, because every time Noel called out her attack spells, she specified they were wind magics.

Either the author or MF messed up. Given track record, I wouldn't be surprised if it was MF.
