Not gonna lie, as someone following this from the start, I still don't understand like anything that's ever going on.

Basically monsters (Shadow) started attacking the world one day, Crow / Soul was able to capture a white Shadow (special type or the Shadows leader?) and he wanted to use it to save his little sister Marnie who was sick, it doesn't work so white Shadow eats her and take the identity od Manni, revives Crow / Soul, then goes on a journey to discover about love, humans emotions yada yada

Very early on that journey she saved Hati and kinda fell in love with her, a lot of shit happened offscreen and she basically made some kind of deal with Crow / Soul and the other masked scientists

It seems Manni had  some kind of plan but Hati still unconditionally loving her kind threw a wrench on that which is why Manni emotions and actions have been all over the place and until now was trying getting Hati to kill her

Now at the end Manni is finally rebelling and will kill all the evil scientists cause something something patriarchy evil lesbians rise to power

Last part was partially a joke :v
