1. back fires don't kill you. so did she shoot him? and if she did who shot her? wouldn't it have been more realistic if the gun jammed? how would it back fire with a round in the chamber already?
2. Why does she keep the doctor around?
3. for a defeated south there sure is a lot of active Resistance.

That's all have a nice day

@harryexplorer:
Hmm... about the "backfire" line...
In Japanese the line reads:
送弾不良が無かったら…
立場は逆になっていた

Or, very literally:
The bullet was sent bad, it wasn't there...
The position became reversed.

Through my localization, I thought she was talking about backfiring, but now I think she's literally just saying the bullet was reversed in the feed and caused his gun to get jammed, like you said. Thanks for the insight! I'll probably re-localize it and update it with a v2 at some point.

I love that the first 12 pages are dialogue-free, a pure visual narrative:
it already struck me when reading raw chapters on Grand Jump.
You can feel Akimoto's will to create something new and push his boundaries,
considering how much KochiKame relied upon verbal comedy.

What do you think @vigorousjammer ?

2- Because he may be useful, a gunfighter often needs a doctor around
3- They formed KKK after all; as Iraq demonstrated again recently, it's never easy to completely erase a state army and its former structure of power
