For those whom are unfamiliar with the Wizardry series. The final spell cast is a 7th level spell and would require Iarumas to be either a level 22 Samurai to learn or have class changed to samurai from Level 13+ Mage.

The name Llylgamyn is also the title for the "Saga" made up of the first 4 games in the series. Based on the title Mad Overlord, Garbage is likely the bastard daughter of
Lord Trebor

LLylgamyn
is the setting of the first 5 Wizardry games

Socordi debuts in Wizardry 5 and conjures a group of monsters from one of the elemental planes. Not sure about the undead though.

Trebor is the titular Mad Overlord of the first game and his ghost haunts the fourth game.

Makatino is a 5th level spell and can kill any enemy at level 8 or less.

Tiltowait is a 7th level spell and does 10-150 points of damage to all monsters; it is the strongest attack spell.

The Amulet is probably the Amulet from Wizardry 1 (and 4)

Normally in order for Samurai to learn 7th level spells they'd need to be level 24 at a minimum (if my math is right).

From what I know it tends to be first spells at level 7 and then a new level of spells every 3 levels there after. 4+3*6=22. Either way it requires him to be extremely high level to cast if he has not class changed from high level Mage.

What level does a Samurai learn the enduring spirit that allows him to get resurrected even if years have passed? :thonk:

Does that means he's strong? At what level does someone is considered "high level"?

couldnt he just cast this without getting bitten by the zombies? why go in there??
Yep, felt the same, it looked like he wanted to get hurt.
My guess is that his range is limited, the slash attack was out of range and the explosion wouldn't have reached the wizard too, so he entered the darkness cloud to bait the villain in a sense of security when dog got around it for her surprise attack.
Still feels like he could have easily defeated the guy through some other tactic and this was just the mangaka deciding to be dumb.

I was wondering if that name was supposed to mean something, and now I've found out it's based on a game series, interesting.

... in addition to everything can we all agree that the little boy thief was great this chapter? Saw a Mage. Went Stealth and shanked the guy while making it look easy. That is a massive far cry from the downbeaten mutt he was at the beginning.
