A manga with a black protagonist and black characters portrayed well and in diverse ways too. No sameface phenomenon here, so major props to the artist for that. But there's a familiar sight! Hol Horse, is that you?! 😂
the plot just blazed towards a predictable end, which is a shame

Never read anything like this before. And it's not insulting either. Surprised it hasn't been done already, the idea of monsters hiding as wealthy white men in post-civil war America is smart. The murderous evil actions of the monsters can be easily covered up by the fact that the humans have done worse and it lets them hide in plain sight.
