This chapter is a reminder that Hideri is an example of clashing character traits that manage to work very well together.
First, he fits the uncommon trap aesthetic, but his clear disdain for BL shows that he's heterosexual. Usually, the "I'm really a guy!" trope has at least SOME homosexual tones, be it bi or full blown BL, but Hideri clearly hates that concept. Straight traps are a rare thing, but a good rare thing because it's so rare.
Next, he's a farm boy. I don't think we've actually seen him working on a farm, but he acknowledges it and it's a known fact. He's a bumpkin, plain and simple. However, most idol characters tend to move away from their origin. Hideri straight up lives at his farm. Granted he's only a self-proclaimed idol, but still.
Finally, despite him filling the role of a joke character, he's anything but a wasted character slot. He's been shown to help the others out, usually through quips or snarky remarks, but he carries his weight as a character. He's not just a side character, and he absolutely stands out from the rest thanks to his multiple traits that don't clash with anyone else. He shows aversion to Miu, but it's clear that he likes her as a friend, just like everyone else is a friend to one another.
TL ; DR - Hideri is a great character, he's fun to watch get bullied by Miu, and Hideri chapters are nice.
