I feel like this confirms what I thought before that she sees her son as her comfort and the two of them are completely severed from everyone else. Including her husbandsince he's more alignedwith the rest of the family. They are two outcast. Since the mother felt isolated from everyone and and doesn't have anyone, she groomed her son to overly attached to her cuz she felt he was the only thing that was hers. I predict she will slowly isolate him from everyone else she will be the only one that is is his. And it's already starting :/
