@oukamihalf Uh what’s with this reply? It has no coherence with my comment at all. This has nothing to do with ‘multiverse’ lol, did you just learn that from the MCU and try to apply it in your daily life to explain alternative continuities? FYI, multiverse only applies to an alternative continuity if both continuities exist in a larger medium where they can interface or crossover, otherwise they are wholly separate ‘alternative continuities’ until they do interface (even then I wouldn’t count a few marketing crossovers).
I’m an old Bloody Roar fan, when this manga was released, it’s well known they opted to just make a whole new story including involving the old ‘Four Gods’ template and more ‘Japanese spirit animal magic’ compared to the main game storyline (at the time, BR4 went fully that way but no one likes BR4’s direction).
But they still wanted to marketed it with the ‘mascot’ of Yugo, but couldn’t use Yugo and had to create counterfeit Yugo in the form of Fang, and whoever replaces Alice. They later did include a Fang alternate skin for Yugo in one of the games, or he was unlockable. He was naturally identical to Yugo except he’s a bit darker.
