Koito-san is passively playing cupid. I like him.
I love how this is unfolding. It shows a realistic monologue of Yuu's struggle to define what she appreciates and whether it is what some call love, or company. It shows her nature very well, and taking someone like this who has trouble accepting offers or gestures from others sets a proper stage for Yuu to become someone who can be pressured into "going with the flow" of what Touko brings to the table. It's more complex than just that, though, because she is genuinely intrigued.
This is really great so far, I hope the emotional complexity continues to evolve throughout the series!
