This is so fascinating. Touko said this:

“Hearing her blunt responses I’m reassured that no matter what I do she won’t be interested. The irritation I felt is completely melting away”.

She's put AT EASE by her dismissive responses and lack of concern. It makes you ask some questions. Is it simply that Touko is enjoying not being the center of attention for a change and is drawn to that with Yuu? Or is it something deeper? If Yuu were to ever reciprocate feelings similarly to Touko, would Touko lose interest completely?

This dynamic is so good. It keeps every interaction alive.

Hmm she is on a path to become someone she is not, her sister.
Getting frustrated when her father "reads her" and gently reminds her she doesn't need to push herself.

She wants to be her sister? She wants to continue her legacy? She has survivor's guilt?
Either way, her path towards perfection is self-destructive and I think she knows that, so wants company, but she doesn't want someone to stop her.
Maybe?

Touko doesn't actually like Yuu right now, she likes the outlet that Yuu provides. She's just using her as a crutch and she's not even realising how selfish she's being. Can't wait to find out how their relationship deconstructs!
